| This page lists references for use
by teachers. It includes biographies, essays,
selected documents, an audio, and links to resources for the public and the research center.
The research center includes pictures, interviews, and documents. Documents were scanned from the Walter Ruether Archives at Wayne State University and Fred Ross files. They have been indexed where quality allowed, otherwise they were keyworded. All of the pictures, interviews, and documents are searchable using either the search field on the page or the advanced search page available from the menus.

The allegations of violence and abuse by Cesar Chavez are deeply troubling and disturbing. In light of these revelations, the California Department of Education encourages all schools and educators to teach about the farmworkers' movement as a struggle that is greater than one man. Resources to support this shift in teaching about the farmworkers' movement can be found on the California Farmworkers' Day page.
